His special interest is in hypertension, diabetes related renal problems, renal dysfunction, glomerular diseases and renal replacement therapy (all forms of dialysis and renal transplantation). He has published his work in various journals and is an active participant in the national and South Indian chapter of the Nephrology Association. He also has teaching experience having taught and trained nephrology students, dialysis fellows, dialysis trainees and nephrology nurses. He is also keen in preventive nephrology and loves to promote the understanding of kidney diseases in the society, for which he has participated in multiple mass media programs.
